Can You Say FoodiePal?

So there is a new thing in town, well actually its not so new, its new to me though. I have joined an awesome group called Foodie Pal, it is a food exchange program and its really neat, you meet others and you then get a goodie package, and you also send one out... Here is some more info about it:

And now it's time for some details about Foodie Penpals.  In case you’re a new reader, here’s a reminder of what the program is all about:

-On the 5th of every month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal! 
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month. 
-Foodie Penplas is open to US & Canadian residents.  Please note, Canadian Residents will be paired with other Canadians only. We've determined things might get too slow and backed up if we're trying to send foods through customs across the border from US to Canada and vice versa.

SO this is like Christmas every month, not only do you get a goodie box but you learn more about the foods that come from a different part of the United States! So one bright morning my doorbell rang and It was my package, I felt like a little kid, so here is what Elyse sent me, and it was a beautiful blessing

So after I starred at the box for a while, I was like Andrea go ahead and open it....

So after taking everything out here is what we have!

I love spices, I love to cook, so here is some Fresh Bayou Blackening Spice, already used it in my gumbo... YUMMY! Will be trying this on some more stuff!

Then I am a big fan of water of all KINDS now, So i love the fact that she thought of me to send me some water, there were two bottles in my box one flavor was Peach and the other was Strawberry Kiwi both were sparkling water, unsweetened and this is what I need, so this was a big hit, A hint is all I tasted too..LOL but my body wants more and more of it...:)

SO then there was some Vegetable Chips.. I am now a big fan of veggies so she went and found something healthy that I can munch on, and they are so yummy, never had veggies in a chip form, but they were so tasty, and I almost ate in them in one setting! Will be on a hunt for these too!

And then there were these big choc cremes, made from Berger Family, and it is a family owned restrautn from her local, so ask me how long did these last?!?! NOT EVEN HALF OF A DAY!I had to work hard to work these babies off... I did share one...LOLOL with my daughter! These were yummy I even warmed up one... So yummy!!!!!! Would love to have some more of these...

The note topped it off, she expressed how she enjoyed meeting me and she explained every product and hoped I enjoyed it... She was a blessing and I will keep up with her, because she eats whats right, and shares it with the world.... SO again thank you Elyse, your box was amazing!!!!!
Well thats all for now, my box is only a memory but I have made a lifetime friend..... Foodie Pal has been a big blessing to my life and I hope you can join us!!!!

Who Said A Cookie Sheet Couldnt Be Cute?

SO as we know the name of my scrapping line is PrettyWings, where all things become pretty with a touch of GOD.. Well my line of scrapping reflects the love GOD has for me and the creativity he has entrusted me with.. There is so much I have done but have not posted, so stay tuned things are about to get flowing and soaring over here...For everything there is a time and a season! 

SOOOOOOO! My good friend showed me how to make these awesome cookie boards for many occasions..Making this is not as hard as it looks.. Stay tuned for a bog that entitles how to make and what all was used to make this.. I made this for a co-worker who is in college and she loved it! Just wanted to give you a pretty picture of 1 of 1000s of my work! Isn't it cute:?

Whats In Your Fridge?

The question I ask many, "What its in your fridge?" I love to see what others like to buy or keep in their fridge.. Its just a little fetish!!!! :) Don't worry I am not coming to your house..(MAYBE)

What we have in our spiritual fridge(BODY) is just as important as of what we put in our natural body! Loosing weight as well as gaining weight can be a big issue! I love to cook, i love to get down in the kitchen and sometimes I dont make the best choices, even though my body sings a different tune, I still fail and cook something that is not good for me! As we look at our bodies in the spiritual realm, we must make sure we eating the word of GOD, so that when things come upon us we will be spiritual fit to endure and handle the trial..

This scripture stands out to me:I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified! 1 Corinthians 9:27
When I look at this verse, it should be written all over my house because it cuts me all over......:)
We must learn to yield to the fleshy things, the things that get us overweight, under weight, tired, stressed out, we need to stay fit and how we do that is keeping the things that we need in our body spiritually and naturally.. We cant run a race being out of breath, heavy, not trained... Whats in your fridge, are there some fatty foods that is keeping your blood pressure up? Are there some things that you need to add to your body for the right nutrients? Im cleaning out my fridge im getting rid of some things so that I can keep moving forward! Dont let the things of the world feed you junk, dont let the things that look good but not for your good keep you from loosing!~ We need to take the time and ask GOD to help us maintain a healthiness in the natural and in the spirit.. We will feel so better about ourself. Rejuvenate the mind everyday with the positive affirmations of prayer.  How can prayer help? The influence of prayer actually gives us the hope, faith, and encouragement that our negative feelings have taken from our heart and mind.

Every day we are literally plagued with negative garbage, listening to and looking at it, to behaving in destructive ways that upset the equilibrium of our minds.

Have you ever thought that maybe it is all the harmful garbage in the world that brings on depression, addiction, and bad feelings? If we are under control of addiction or depression how can we ever recognize the spiritual person within us?  I know first hand that addiction keeps us far from God. So then how do we not know that all we need is a spiritual cleanse to free us from the grips of what is controlling us? We need to pray more and ask GOD to help us become free from the things that keep pushing us out of control.. Its okay we are human, we can get back up and get it together.... So are you ready to clean that fridge? Are you ready to clean it out andTo be free from negative and destructive junk, to be the whole and complete spiritual person that I was meant to be. To live life in peace and contentment.? You can do it, and if you need help please contact me I am here to help you soar freely into a new area of LIFE!

Here is my prayer for you today:PRAY it and watch GOD move!

 Father, I desire to be self-disciplined. I affirm that I am maturing in the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. I belong to Christ Jesus and have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since I live by the Spirit, I will keep in step with the Spirit. I resist and give no place to feelings of conceit, or the temptation to envy and provoke others.

I receive every Scripture, for it is God-breathed (given by Your inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to Your will in thought, purpose and action). This enables me to be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Lord, You did not give me a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

Your divine power has given me everything I need for life and godliness through my knowledge of You, Who called me by Your own glory and goodness. Through these You have given me Your very great and precious promises, so that through them I may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desire. For this very reason, I make every effort to add to my faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. Who Am I? What Is My Purpose? Why Blog?

Singing my heart out, crying my heart but nothing is better than eating my heart out and scrapping my heart out... Things have tasted like a tab bit of Rocky Road, Yep the ice cream! Bitter and Sweet.. I had to take some time away from writing, I don't know why ask GOD!!!! :) The point of the matter is I am back, back with more a passion for sharing my life with you.. You will be able to come into my room of crafting, my kitchen of cooking, and my window of life! Things are still being paved down, but GOD is working all things out! I am into card making right now, having a card come into your mailbox will brighten your day at any point or time in your life.. I will be showcasing some cards very soon, I made them all up on my own, didn't use not one lay out....HOW AWESOME IS THAT? :) I will be also showing you some recipes, so get some ink in that printer or get that pen and paper ready and get ready to enjoy some down home cooking! Cooking that will make you Slap ya Mama(NOT REALLY OK!!) :) I will then let you in on my window of life, naked and unashamed!
So for now let me give you a little history of me then and now.. I come from a life full of strife, sadness and very little happiness. I didn't know my own strength growing up, so I had to use the ways of the world.. A picture is supposed to tell a story but what do you see here?

You see a beautiful smile, but where did that smile go?!? It faded without notice! Anyway I went on a journey that maybe you or others would have gave up.. I knew I was special at a young age, because I was writing short stories, and poems at the age of 4. Yes four years old I was writing and I was told that my writings were speaking of things to come.. Strange huh? I was crippled in my legs, I was called pigeon toed, My legs were broke at the age of 2 by a bar! I was neglected, rejected and never accepted.... we looked like the Cosby show, everything looked good to the outer but we were broken down in side! I escaped to a world so fast, I was pregnant at the age of 12, had to have an unwanted abortion, i was led to a life of sex, drugs, partying and the list carries on.. You will have to wait on my book to read my memoir! Its coming soon! Now in 2012 I am a God fearing woman, i love to cook, I love to scrap, I love to enjoy life.. SO as you follow me here you will learn these things

• I am risky( my faith is strong)

• I am real as they come
• I speak prophetically alot
• I love people and kids!!!!

My journey has not been easy but its one that I dont mind sharing, I hope you will learn something from each time you read or view my blog.. I have the right to be me... PrettyWings Is Almost Back... Well..... I Am Back :)

So Here I am, I am almost back, Im in route to finding the peace that lies within.. I have been going thru the changes and the storms but I have been holding on... Crafting is my outlet, its a way for me to take control of the moment, and on the flip side of that it allows me to be the creative person I am... I have a bestfriend that Is a AWESOME craftier and she pushes the best out of me, and then as I watch her I become hungry for crafting, I am going to be blogging once a week(or more) and you will began to see everything that I am doing, and desire to do...I named myself PrettyWings, because for so long, my wings were broken because of bad relationships, church hurt, family hurt and it ook a toll on me, everything weighed me down, so now I am back in place, my wings are restored and about ready to soar.. I am in love with mini albums, and i tend to love to do crafty things that are catchy... Wait for more blogs and then you will understand my language, Im not out here to compete, im just sharing my life(gift)with you, I love to watch and learn and create...So stay tuned, my garden is about to come alive.. Bare with me im so new to blogging, so I must learn how to take pictures and videos and keep my things up to date... So im about to go cook up some things in my craft lab... I shall return....

Hello everyone, I know you are wondering what is the purpose of her having this blog and never blog! I'm under construction, I'm almost out of the cocoon... I am going to be as beautiful as ever, while being in this place I have been working on many things.. From cooking to crafting.. I am amazed, so be a little bit more patience with me as I go through the last stages of preparation!
